This month, we have brought together an exciting new format of event for TEN! Geared towards being more of a fun, relaxed social meeting but retaining the usual focus on Engineering, we hope that this event will prove very popular amoung TEN members.
For this exciting event, we are visitng Perth Airport for a “Cars and ‘Copters” event. We will be visiting the Air Service Training group, who are affiliated to Perth UHI and run a course designed to train young people to become aircraft engineers.
Furthermore, we have an amazing opportunity, to visit one of europe’s largest collections of classic cars which is not normally open for public viewing! The selection of pristine vehciles kept on private display is quite spectacular and we’re sure will captivate many of you.
For obvious reasons, we cannot say too much at this stage!
Additionally, Andy Simpson from Angus 3D solutions is going to deliver a presentation about the present status and future of 3D printing, with a special focus on some interesting projects he has delivered, to produce otherwise unavailable parts for classic and vintage vehicles.
Afternoon tea is kindly being laid on by the Brechin Tea Dance group, who are a charitable organisation with the usual venue being the Town Hall in Brechin. The group run events every month and we are very grateful to have them join us for this new event.
Donations on the day to Brechin Tea Dance group would be greatly appreciated.
While we hope all TEN events are going to be beneficial, this is surely one that you musn’t miss!
The format of the night will be as follows:
4:30 – 5:00 – Entry, networking, Tea’s Coffees
5:00 – 6:30 – Andy Simpson presentation + Tour of AST facilities
6:30 – 8:00 – Tour of Car Collection + Networking
8:00 – Depart
PARKING
There is plenty parking available at Perth Airport, there are several large carparks on site where you may leave your vehicle. The closest one is at the top of the main drive on your entrance to the Airport.
